Our Story

Mike and Jackie first met freshman year (1995) at St. Bonaventure high school. They shared quite a few courses together (as well as an affinity for wicked repartee). Mike tormented Jackie over her “orange” car, and Jackie mocked him for his lack of wheels. (All teasing was done entirely in jest.) Truth be known, both parties looked for any excuse to chat up one another. They went on to become good friends and attended two high school dances together, including prom.

Upon graduating, Jackie and Mike attended the University of San Francisco, and Fresno State, respectively. Though they weren’t exactly neighbors, they remained close and visited each other in both cities (each visit better than the last).

Some more time passed, and their mutual friend, Reid Hansen, graduated with his master’s degree from the University of San Diego in 2010. They both traveled to help him celebrate, and it wasn’t until that exact weekend that they (finally) decided to take their friendship to another level.  They’ve been inseparable ever since!

Mike and Jackie are ecstatic about their upcoming nuptials this June!
